I started taking pilates classes this week for several different reasons. 1) To get fit aka get a bikini body. 2) To help with my back problems that could be attributed to my minor scoliosis, bad posture, or that car accident I was in. 3) Counterbalance the amount of unhealthy food I inhale daily. 4) I’ve always wanted to try it.
I want to get fit by SXSW (it’s unrealistic, but whatever) so that I wouldn’t have a problem standing in line or at shows for long periods of time. At the Robyn concert, my back was aching so bad at the end of the night. Pilates is supposed to realign your spine and help correct your posture by building up your back muscles (as well as lengthen and tone other muscles in your body).
I’m also going to run on days when I don’t have pilates. Today I ran a mile!
